Our Work Education
Why Education is important?
As a developing country, we tend to struggle in many areas critical for overall human and societal development. Education is one of those areas which need more innovative steps to provide quality education to all children. Education plays a pivotal role in nurturing and grooming the children for their successful lives ahead. We give education so much importance because it is a significant part of society's growth and progress.
An educated individual gets numerous opportunities to get the dream job, learn new advanced skills, and contribute towards the growth of their country's economy. A quality education will enable people to address the world’s problems and find solution for them.
It is important to promote education in every sector of society as it will build moral and ethical values among children and develop problem-solving skills which will help them lead a comfortable life and empower them to create a better society.
Education data of India
India has a total 77.7% literacy rate and Kerala has been leading this category for the last few years followed by Delhi. Sure, the expenditure in the education sector has increased but we are still lagging in providing inclusive and quality education for all.
According to the official data provided by NSO, the male literacy rate is 84.5% and the female literacy rate is 70.3% in India. This shows a huge gap in the gender-wise literacy rate in the country.
And if we take Tamil Nadu's education status, it comes under some well-performing states when it comes to education. But the gap between male and female literacy rates (82.04% and 64.55% respectively) is something that cannot be ignored.
Our main goal is to align with the sustainable development goal and ensure inclusive and quality education for all and make them capable enough to learn more for their future endeavours.
Upcoming activities:
- Learning Centre: The learning centre will be consciously designed to accommodate school-going children in rural areas and urban slums. These centres will teach the children various courses based on their academic curriculum and also guide them in several extra-curriculum activities. The centre will be beneficial for children who need extra care in understanding the concepts. The Learning Centre will not be designed exclusively for studies. Different fun activities will also be taught to them. That will help build up the interest of children in a wide range of areas. Our focus will also be on the teachers and trainers and they will be provided with the best materials to ensure there is no lagging in any kind of teaching to the children.
- Government school intervention: Our interventions will also be implemented in government schools that report high school dropout rates every year. A child should never let go of his/ her dreams due to the lack of resources for their education. Therefore, bringing back the children to the school will be our primary focus so that every child receives an equal and quality education.
Involving teachers from the school and parents of the pupils to discuss about the overall performance of the children will be an attempt to include the parents in the overall development of the children’s academics.
